EVO APAC DAY TWO/THREE
May 31, 2010, 12:07:41 AM by Plasia
Day 2

Here are my notes, minus expletives.

I am extra salty, I do not wish to recall my pool matches, stuff Sakura. All the Victorian players did not make it out of pools but almost made it in close matches, was pretty exciting yet ultimately very sadface.

I want to play Ken.

Day 3

1. Daigo (surprise)
2. Humanbomb
3. Toxy

Toxy won his first game with Daigo in the winners final. The crowd went wild. In fact the crowd went wild whenever Daigo lost a round.

Unfortunately Toxy sort of lost it after his first win against Daigo, he was trying to demon everything, was odd.

EVO APAC DAY ONE
May 28, 2010, 10:51:27 PM by Plasia
I woke up at 4:45am (FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU), Zan and Cactus arrived at my place at 5:00am and I showed them the Plasiacade and they were suitably amazed.

At 5:15am the taxi driver rang the doorbell, the doorbell is hooked up to the intercom so the whole house heard it, I'm doing to be in deep s--- when I get home.

When we checked into the TIGER TERMINAL my stomach was almost KO'd by a TIGER EGG AND BACON MUFFIN. The plane performed an EX TIGER TAKEOFF and I fell asleep, suddenly it performed TIGER LANDING and I was in Sydney.

We were going to take a train from the airport to Sydney Central station but it was $15, which was a bit ludicrous. We took a taxi instead and managed a savings of 33c.

After a nutritious breakfast at McDonalds, ...

Avcon Report 2009
July 26, 2009, 02:06:36 PM by Zan
This is mostly just a placeholder, I'll give more details later.

SF4 yesterday most of us got atleast past the first few rounds until we were forced to knock each other out (single elim).  Nick and myself made top eight.  The projector screen was infuriatingly laggy though.  Blocked SRKs were unpunishable lol.

In SF3 this morning, Nick, Plasia and Loki came first, second and third respectively.  Gametraders vouchers hello (scrubs bought nintendo shirts lol).

OzHadou Nationals Report - Day 3
July 20, 2009, 12:38:21 AM by Loki
Sunday:
Nick, PlayAsia and I got to the venue just as the place was opening up and managed to get a bunch of 3S casuals in before most people turned up.
Dust, Bata and Zan turned up shortly afterwards and Zan got to work on the Soul Calibur 4 tourney which I hear ran about 4 hours due to a very forgiving format.
We ducked out for some quick lunch before SFIV started and managed to get back just in time to discover our pool allotments.
Bata, Plasia and Nick all came into Pool A, I was in Pool B, and Dust and Zan got Pool C.
The seeding put ToXY in Pool A, HumanBomb in D, and Naruga in Pool C I believe.
Melbourne players were spread reasonably evenly, but some unfortunate matches came up with Mikey and ToXY facing off, and Ero-Oyagi having to knock out a...

OzHadou Nationals Report - Day 2
July 19, 2009, 12:11:58 AM by Loki
Saturday:
After a really nice sleep we enjoyed some stock standard hotel breakfast and headed off to OHN. We had a little time to fill in so we wandered around the city for a while as Bata wanted to explore. I think we ended up at the Chinatown Gardens or something like that, either way their fortress is definitely not safe from ninjas and slingshot dragon punches are awesome.
Got back to OHN just before it opened and were in the first few in line to grab our passes.
Plasia's signup hilariously lists him as Playsia on his pass and Playasia on his receipt, hilarity ensues for the rest of the day for all the competitions he's preregistered for.
Got a few casuals in for SFIV and Blazblue and ran off to get some lunch before Third Strike started. Met up with ToXY, Na...
