Where: Rosina Auditorium, Abbotsford Convent (1 St Heliers Street, Abbotsford) - MELWAY REFERENCE: 44 G5 - CLICK HERE for VENUE MAP AND DIRECTIONS
When: Saturday 7th of August, 1pm-10pm
Notes: Bringing your own controllers is highly recommended, if not basically neccessary.
Bringing additional TVs, monitors, consoles and games is really appreciated, please remember to LABEL your gear to avoid confusion.

Ranbats:
Street Fighter III: Third Strike (PS2)
Super Street Fighter IV (Xbox 360)
Super Smash Bros Melee (Gamecube)
Super Smash Bros Brawl (Wii)
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift (PS3)
Soul Calibur IV (PS3)
Virtua Fighter 5 (Xbox 360)
Tekken 6 (PS3)

Current Timetable:
1.00-3.00 Third Strike
1.00-2.30 VF5
2.00-3.30 SC4
3.00-5.00 BlazBlue
3.00-5.00 Tekken 6
4.00-9.30 SSFIV

Important Notes
We will be taking pre-payments for BAM at this Ranbat and the one after it. Pay early and receive a discount on the entry fee compared to on-the-day. You'll also get a personalised pass and skip the line of people waiting to pay.

SSFIV is keeping up with the best of 3 games, 3 rounds format, but due to last month's rush, we're moving the starting time back an hour.
This is very important, please try to be there BEFORE 4pm so we can start on time and give everyone enough time to comfortably play their matches.

BlazBlue Continuum Shift is starting this month! Expect a resurgence in the game with the new version hitting consoles and getting right back into it with a fiercely fought ranbat.

I won't be there this month until 5pm, I'll be dropping my gear off to set up, but then I'll be there after work. Unfortunately due to taking AVCon off I wasn't able to get this day off as well. I'll be there next month though, and of course at BAM. Hopefully I'll be back in time to play my matches in SSFIV.

Please let me know if I need to shift the times around for any other games due to the SSFIV change. Nick mentioned something about moving SF3 and hour back, did you still want to do that?

Hmm, that just means that it runs concurrently with the start time for BlazBlue and Tekken 6, not sure if that's a good idea or not. :S
Depends how much crossover we have, and keep in mind that I usually get Sat or Bata to run a bracket, and they may be busy with BB, so we'll need some others to step up and run SSFIV brackets.

Smash will have Brawl singles and Melee teams running first, then Melee singles and Brawl Teams after those finish =)

i'm not that experienced with smash brackets & such, but out of every possible order you could have placed them in, that sounds the most disorganized. XD but i suppose you know what you're doing Smiley

It's to minimise player crossover as there are people who play Melee but not Brawl, and vica versa. It's actually the intelligent way to overlap events.

Hi, I'm new so I just need a few things answered.

Is it $5 entry + tournament entry or just $5 for the whole thing?
I don't have an x360 stick but only a ps3 one, should i bring it?
Will trains still be running after the event!? (ssf4 9:30pm)

Thanks.

Hey,
It's $5 entry to the venue, and a little extra for any tournaments which have a pot, SSFIV is $2. I think Smash take money for their comps too, but I'm not sure on that. Everything else is free.
Bring your stick, you'll be able to use it for casuals while you're not in a competition.
Trains will run until about midnight.
