Dead or Alive Festival – Australian Qualifier – Winner to fly to Japan

We are happy to announce that CouchWarriors will be hosting a special qualifier tournament for the DEAD OR ALIVE FESTIVAL. This is a special exhibition tournament taking place in Tokyo, Japan on August 1, 2015. We are honored to partner with Team Ninja to create this opportunity for Australian fighters, and to host the tournament at OzComicCon.

The winner of this tournament will be awarded with a qualified spot in the Festival along with flights and accommodation in Tokyo for the event!

Join in the fighting game action at OzcomicCon! Beginners to pros welcome!
Learn to play, casual winner-stay matches, and Prize Winning Tournaments will be available each day.

There will even be unique OCC medals for winners!

RANKING BATTLE JUNE 20, 2015

cw_june_ranbat Tournaments, casual games, tips and training – CouchWarriors Ranking Battles are a day long fighters festival! Newcomers are welcome as well as tournament veterans.

Each “Ranbat” monthly is a chance to play long sets of casual games for practice, but also earn Ranking Points for the tournament games listed below. Look for regular updates on the ranking points here on the site. You can view the current rankings here.

Come play or BYO your setup. Enjoy some casuals or get in your tournament practice going with our structured events.

Battle Arena Melbourne 7 Tournament Results and Videos

Battle Arena Melbourne 7 was the largest Fighting Game event on record in Australia, with 628 attendees, and competitors playing for fun and vying for glory, cash, prizes and a coveted BAM trophy or Medal across 16 events. The chance to get together with fellow players in a big community with the excitement and atmosphere of a big tournament makes for a lasting experience. We’re excited to share the results and videos with you.

There is also fantastic BAM7 Photo gallery on Facebook, including the Friday night Dinner and Cosplay events.

We had over 8 international guests hosted by the event and community, with some additional visitors besides. Including Perfect Legend (MKX, DOA5LR, KI, USF4) and a host of amazing guests in Super Smash Bros Melee, including Mango, Leffen, Lucky, Wife, Hugs, S2J, ChillinDude and Alex19
