Fighting game tournaments at Melbourne Esports Open

We’re teaming up with Melbourne Esports Open to bring fighting games to #MEO2018! Catch all the action on the FGC Stage, one of four esports stages on Margaret Court Arena. Join us for the debut of this new major esports event!

With your tickets for event entry, registration for the fighting games are free. Each game is double elimination and has a Prize pool of $1,000!

Saturday

Tekken, Street Fighter V and Dragon Ball FighterZ

Doors Open for registration:Check in at the MEO registration desk between 9am and 11am on the day to confirm your spot in the bracket.

All tournaments will start at 12pm. All games are double elimination.

Finals:

Street Fighter Top 8: 3pm

Soul Calibur VI Exhibition 3pm – Streamed on www.twitch.tv/couchwarriors

Tekken Top 8: 3:30pm – Streamed on www.twitch.tv/couchwarriors

Dragon Ball FighterZ Top 8: 3:30pm – Streamed on www.twitch.tv/newgameplustv

Sunday

Smash 4 and Smash Melee

CouchWarriors July 2018 Ranking Battle Results

The end of July sees the return of our monthly Ranking Battle events, with one slight change to the schedule. All of our Smash games are now being held under one roof, taking place on the 4th Saturday of each month alongside Rivals of Aether and Pokken!

Not only does our Smash scene benefit from joining together, this means our FGC RanBat will be packing in even more of your favourite games and events, with our TO’s hosting a free Tekken 3v3 tourney this month to start things off. If you are interested in running a bracket for any game for future events, please feel free to let us know and volunteer!
