BAM15 Results Battle Arena Melbourne 15 Wrapup

Battle Arena Melbourne has a proud history playing host to some of the greatest fighting games players of all time, and the place where local legends are born. 2025 marks the 15th time Battle Arena Melbourne has run, and it was an event that showed fighting games are still the best kind of competitive game in the world.

As one of the biggest events in the region, the event played host to major stops for some of the biggest global tournaments in fighting games, including a Master Event for the Tekken World Tour, a qualifier event for the SNK World Championships and Gold+ tournaments for Guilty Gear Strive & Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising as part of the Arc World Tour. In addition, BAM 15 played host to the Esports World Cup, with all three fighting games represented (Street Fighter 6, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and Tekken 8), with a total of seven spots available across the trio. 

As you would expect for an event with so much on the line, it brought out some of the biggest and best names in fighting games both across the world and in Australia & New Zealand. 

Some notable international names included Arslan Ash, Poongko, Knee, Gamera, LowHigh, Xian, Nemo, Nyanpi, and Rangchu, to name but a few. As for our local heroes, spectators at the venue or online could see icons like Yagami, RoF, Rumours, Somniac, Hangman Kid, Bluedude, Blitzkrieg, MetallicCake and Beedozer take on the best the world has to offer. 

Tekken 8 ended up topping the registration list with 229 entrants, with Street Fighter 6 in second at 164 registrants, and Fatal Fury in third with 73. But it wasn’t all about the biggest and best in fighting games, with a swathe of tournaments covering classic fighters and revived favourites, like Capcom vs SNK 2, Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, Divekick, Samurai Shodown, Vampire Saviour and more.

We also saw the continued growth of Beyblade X, after a strong turnout last year showing it was well suited to the competitive environment of BAM. This year, there was an official Hasbro supported regional qualifier tournament on the Saturday, and a Takara format tournament on the Sunday, each over 80 competitors!
