General Tournament Rules and Information
Take a moment to familiarise yourself with the standard rules governing all our tournaments at #BAM15. And read on below that for the specific rules, prizes and tournament admins associated with each game, listed alphabetically.

- Report to your pools 15 minutes before it is supposed to start.
- Disqualifications are 10 minutes after your match is called.
- BAM is a BYO Controller event. Please ensure you bring a controller which is compatible for the games you are playing.
- PS5 players note we turn Bluetooth OFF and you must bring a USB cable to connect your controller.
Prize pool guide
Tournaments with 7 players or less will pay out 100% to the winner.
- 1st Place – 100%
Tournaments with 15 players or less will pay out to the top 2 finishers.

Tournaments with 16 to 47 players will pay out to the top 3 finishers.

Tournaments with 48 – 95 players or more will pay out to the top 4 finishers.

Platinum Tournaments
Feature events with premium stage and stream time. Each receives the BAM trophy and Top 3 medals.
TEKKEN 8 – Tekken World Tour Master Event
Format: 3/5 rounds, 2/3 games (Loser Semifinals, Loser Finals, Winner Finals, Grand Final 3/5 games), Double Elimination, 60 seconds
System: PS5
Rules: All characters allowed. Random Stage Select every game. Players who lose the first game may change their character, and the winning player is character locked until they lose. Blind pick is available for all matches. In the case that players cannot mutually agree on which sides to sit, a best of 3 Rock Paper Scissors game will be played with the winner choosing their preferred side. Players are committed to side selection for the entirety of the Match.
WORLD TOUR:
- BAM is a TEKKEN World Tour Master Event and TWT rules also apply.
- Esports World Cup: There are four (4) direct Qualification spots for TEKKEN at BAM. There are no rules changes or requirements, TWT and regular tournament conditions apply.
Entry Fee: $10
Prizes: Full prize pool to be announced in the lead up to the event. Finalists will also gain TEKKEN World Tour points as described in the TEKKEN World Tour Ruleset.

Controllers: PS5 Compatible Controllers (Pads, Arcade Style Controllers, Leverless.) Controllers are not permitted to be used in Bluetooth mode (Bluetooth will be disabled on the PS5 consoles). All controllers must be connected in wired mode, cables will not be provided.
Street Fighter 6
Format: 2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games (Top 8 – 3/5 games), Double Elimination, 99 Seconds, Random Stage Select.
Console: PS5
Rules: All characters are allowed in a first to two or best of three game set. Players who lose a game may change their character and side while the winning player is character locked until they lose. Blind pick is available for all matches, contact a judge or bracket runner at the character select screen to adjudicate for you. In the case of both players wanting the P1 or P2 side, Rock, Paper, Scissors will be used to determine the outcome. Dynamic controls are outlawed for use during this tournament.
WORLD TOUR:
- Esports World Cup: There is one (1) direct Qualification spot for Street Fighter 6 at BAM. There are no rules changes or requirements, our regular tournament conditions apply.
Controllers: Brook converters are allowed, but Cronus converters are banned. The CPT ruleset regarding controllers can be found here.
Entry Fee: $10
Prizes: Full prize pool to be announced in the lead up to the event. The prize pool will include of a share of the cash entry fees for each tournament entrant.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves
Format: 2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games (Top 8 – 3/5 games), Double Elimination, 99 Seconds, Random Stage Select.
Console: PC
Rules: All characters are allowed in a first to two or best of three game set. Players who lose a game may change their character and side while the winning player is character locked until they lose. Blind pick is available for all matches, contact a judge or bracket runner at the character select screen to adjudicate for you. In the case of both players wanting the P1 or P2 side, Rock, Paper, Scissors will be used to determine the outcome. Dynamic controls are outlawed for use during this tournament.
WORLD TOUR:
- Esports World Cup: There is two (2) direct Qualification spots for Fatal Fury City of the Wolves at BAM. There are no rules changes or requirements, our regular tournament conditions apply.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Format: 7 Minutes, 3 Stocks (Singles & Doubles), Items/Hazards Off, Pause Off, Friendly Fire On (Doubles)
Console: Switch
Stagelist: Final Destination, Smashville, Town and City, Lylat Cruise, Battlefield, Kalos, Small Battlefield, Hollow Bastion, Pokemon Stadium 2. Banning procedure is 2-4-3. At the start of a match paper scissors rock is played and the winner decides to ban first, or have the opponent ban first. After a game, the winner then bans 3 stages and the loser picks from the remainder.
Rules: If a player wishes to pick a character without the opponent being able to counterpick, they can choose to enact a double blind, where both players will inform a TO of their pick and then the TO will announce both of the characters. After a game, the winner must announce if they are changing characters, and the loser follows. Mii Fighters are legal, if using a Mii Fighter, you must tell your opponent the moveset, and name the Mii accordingly. (eg. 1132)
Controllers: Wireless controllers are allowed, however if your controller interferes with the tournament in any way, you will be instantly disqualified. If you use a GCC, you must bring your own adapter with you to all matches, if you fail to do this and begin to delay the bracket, you will be instantly disqualified.

Guilty Gear: Strive – Arc World Tour Gold+ Event
Format: 2/3 Rounds, Double Elimination, 99 Seconds
Console: PS4
Rules: Players who lose a game may change their character, and the winning player is character locked until they lose. Blind pick is available for all matches.
DLC Character availability: 2 weeks after character release.
NOTE ON VERSION UPDATE: With a patch arriving just before BAM, we will be following Arc System Works recommendation to leave the system unpatched to ensure a stable and fair competitive environment for all participants.

Gold Tournaments
High tier tournaments. BAM trophy awarded.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising – Arc World Tour Gold+ Event
Format: 2/3 Rounds (3/5 throughout pools and finals), Double Elimination, 99 Seconds
Console: Playstation 4
DLC Character availability: 1 month after character release.
NOTE ON VERSION UPDATE: With a patch arriving just before BAM, we will be following Arc System Works recommendation to leave the system unpatched to ensure a stable and fair competitive environment for all participants.
Rules: Players who lose a game may change their character, and the winning player is character locked until they lose. Blind pick is available for all matches. Pausing the game at any point during a match will result in forfeiting the round.
Colours 16 and 17 are prohibited. Lunalu is prohibited. SP Weapon skins (Prismatics) prohibited.
WORLD TOUR: As Part of ARC WORLD TOUR 2025, This event is a Gold Qualifier, which means players can earn points as follows:

2nd – 100pts

Controllers: PS4 compatible controllers, Brook converters are allowed but Cronus converters are prohibited. ‘Turbo’ functions or hardware based macros that give functions not available in the game natively are prohibited. If you use a Dualshock or other wireless controller, you are responsible for removing it after your match is complete, and will be disqualified if you fail to do so and another match is affected.
Entry Fee: $10
Prizes: Full prize pool to be announced in the lead up to the event. The prize pool will include of a share of the cash entry fees for each tournament entrant.

Silver and Community Tournaments
Mortal Kombat 1
Format: 2/3 Rounds, 3/5 Games, Double Elimination, 99 Seconds, Random Stage
Console: PS5
Rules: All characters allowed in a three (3) game set. Players who lose a game may change their character, and the winning player is character locked and variation locked until they lose. Blind pick is available for all matches, contact a judge or bracket runner at the character select screen to adjudicate for you.
Game Procedures
Players select their characters and Kameos.
Players play the first Game of the match.
The losing Player of the preceding Game may choose to change characters/Kameo or replay the match. The winner MUST stay with the same character/Kameo.
The next game is played.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 for all subsequent Games until the match is over.
Controllers: Brooks converters allowed, but Cronus converters are banned. If you use a PS4 Dualshock or wireless controller of any kind, be sure to disconnect or desync it after every match, failure to do so will be grounds for DQ if another match is interrupted.
Entry Fee: $10
Prizes: Full prize pool to be announced in the lead up to the event. The prize pool will include of a share of the cash entry fees for each tournament entrant.
In addition, a sizable prize contribution will be made by AusKombat and members of the community.

BlazBlue Centralfiction
Format: 2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games (LF, WF, GF – 3/5 games), Double Elimination, 99 Seconds
Console: PS4
Rules: Unlimited Characters banned. All other normal characters allowed. Players who lose a game may change their character, and the winning player is character locked until they lose. Blind pick is available for all matches.
Controllers: PS4 and PS3 sticks and official Sony pads allowed.
Entry Fee: $5
Prizes: Full prize pool to be announced in the lead up to the event. The prize pool will include of a share of the cash entry fees for each tournament entrant.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo
System: PS4 (Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection)
Speed: “Game Speed 2” – the correct speed will be displayed as “Turbo 1” in game.
Rules: Default damage and time settings. Games will be played first to 3 throughout the tournament (Double Elimination). Character switch allowed on loss.
Winner locked to the same character, Akuma is banned!
Players may not use any glitch or bug that prevents the game from being played, including but not limited to bugs causing the game to freeze, reset, remove character from play zone or similar results.

Street Fighter Alpha 2
System: PS4 (Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection)
Speed: “Game Speed 3” – the correct speed will be displayed as “Turbo 2” in game.
Rules: Default damage and time settings. Games will be played first to 2 until top 3, where it will become first to 3 (Double Elimination). Character switch allowed on loss.
Winner locked to the same character, Evil Ryu is legal!
Players may not use any glitch or bug that prevents the game from being played, including but not limited to bugs causing the game to freeze, reset, remove character from play zone or similar results.

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike
System: PS4 (Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection)
Rules: Default damage and time settings. Games will be played first to 2 until top 3, where it will become first to 3 (Double Elimination). Character switch allowed on loss. Super Art switch allowed on both win and loss.
Players may not use any glitch or bug that prevents the game from being played, including but not limited to bugs causing the game to freeze, reset, remove character from play zone or similar results.

Capcom VS SNK 2
Format: Double Elimination. Best 2 of 3. Finals (WF, LF, GF) Best 3 of 5.
Console: PS5 – Capcom Fighting Collection 2
Game Configuration: Timer set to default, Arcade edition (Roll cancel on)
Stage Select: Random or player agreement
Entry: Free, 32 player limit
Judges: Khanage
Lethal League Blaze
Format: Double Elimination, 2/3 games (LF, WF, GF – 3/5 games)
Console: PC
Game configuration: ANZ “Competitive” Settings (5 stocks, 5 min, 200% HP, Power-ups off)
Stage Select: Random or gentlemen’s agreement
Character Select: The winner of the previous game in a set must continue to play the character they won that game with. If a player selects random in game one and wins, they must select the same randomed character in the subsequent game. Loser can switch freely. No restrictions on the first game in a set.
Entry Fee: Free
Prizes: $200.
Touhou Hisoutensoku
Format: Double Elimination. Best 2 of 3. Finals Best 3 of 5 (GF reset returns to Best 2 of 3)
Console: PC
Game Configuration: Pre-game deck creation time allowed (Don’t overwrite profiles).
Entry Fee: $5
Stage Select: Library or player agreement
Character Select: May change character on game loss. Deck change can be done on both win and loss.
Extra Rules: The use of Game breaking bugs (such as youmu’s grab catfish) to make the game unfinishable is illegal and the person doing such things will be automatically disqualified.

Gundam Extreme Versus Maxi Boost On
Format: 2/3 Games (LF, WF, GF – 3/5 Games), Double Elimination, 240 seconds
Console: PS4
Rules:
Tournament will be 2 vs 2 fixed teams. You will be paired for the entire tournament. If you do not have a team, still register online solo, and staff will be on-site to help pair you with a partner.
All suits are allowed. Games will all be played on Side 7.
After any game in the set, the losers may switch suits and/or burst, the winners are locked onto their suit/burst.
Controllers: PS4 compatible controllers, Brook converters are allowed but Cronus converters are prohibited. ‘Turbo’ functions or hardware based macros that give functions not available in the game natively are prohibited. If you use a Dualshock or other wireless controller, you are responsible for removing it after your match is complete, and will be disqualified if you fail to do so and another match is affected.

Format: 3/5 Rounds, Double Elimination, 99 Seconds
Console: Xbox One (brook converters will be available)

Training Stage and Debug Void Stage Banned
Controllers: Xbox One Compatible, Brook Converters for all PS4 sticks are also available on the day.

Divekick
Format: Double Elimination, ft2 for all matches EXCEPT Winners Final, Losers Final and Grand Final.
Console: PS4 Rules: 20 second rounds, 5 rounds to win a game.
Entry: $Free – Spectators can enter
Controller: Any wired controller that is compatible with PS4 Character Select: You may change character on a match loss, the winner must stay on the character they’ve selected. Judges: ThatJerryBoy
Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code
Format: 2/3 Rounds (LF, WF, GF – 3/5 Games), Double Elimination, 99 Seconds
Rules: Players who lose a game may change their character, and the winning player is character locked until they lose. Blind pick is available for all matches.
Banned Stage: Ban on the ‘And Nothing Heart’ stage
Entry Fee: $5
Prizes: Full prize pool to be announced in the lead up to the event. The prize pool will include of a share of the cash entry fees for each tournament entrant.
Pokken Tournament DX
Format: 2/3 Rounds until top 4, Double Elimination, 99 Seconds
Rules: Fixed Battle Stages, no skill points. Loser can change character, support and cheer skill Winner can change support and cheer skill
Entry Fee: Free
Prizes: Full prize pool to be announced in the lead up to the event. The prize pool will include of a share of the cash entry fees for each tournament entrant.

Rivals of Aether
Format: 2/3 Matches (Top 8 is 3/5)
Console: PC
Legal Stages: Starters: Fire Capital, Air Armada, Rock Wall, Mercant Port, Blazing Hideout, Frozen Fortress, Tower of Heaven. Counter picks: Treetop Lodge, Tempest Peak, Aethereal Gates, The Endless abyss.
Rules: Standard Australian Ruleset applies
1-2-1 ban order, winner of RPS bans first for starter stages (Tower of Heaven, Julesvale, Merchant Port, Forest Floor, Aethereal Gates)
Winner of each game bans 3 stages. The loser can select from all remaining legal stages, with the exception of any stages they have already won on during the course of the set (DSR).
Tempest Peak is banned
If either player wishes to swap characters, it must be done BEFORE stage ban, Winner chooses character first
Controllers: Xbox one and gamecube controllers are both legal. So is any controller that is plug and play
Any other controllers require TOs approval prior to the event, and must be able to be set up in under 3 minutes’ time. Any major PC issues that occur because of drivers/software installed for a controller may result in a DQ.

Format: 2/3 Rounds, Double Elimination, 60 Second timer. Finals Best 3 of 5.

Character Select: May change character on match loss. Winner must keep the same character

Samurai Shodown
Format: Double Elimination. Best 2 of 3. Finals Best 3 of 5.
Console: PlayStation 4 / PlayStation 5
Game Configuration: Timer set to 60
Stage Select: Random or player agreement

Character Select: May change character on match loss. Winner must stick

Skullgirls 2nd Encore
Format: 3/5 Games, Double Elimination, default settings (99 second timer, 3-round solo mirror, 1 round otherwise)
Console: PC/Steam (Windows 10)
Rules: The loser of the last game may change their team in any way they like. The winner may change team order, but not team size, characters, or assists. Either player may request a double blind team pick for Game 1, contact a judge or bracket runner at the character select screen to adjudicate for you. Either player may request Random stage for any round.
Controllers: Brooks converters allowed, but Cronus converters are banned. If you use a PS4 Dualshock or wireless controller of any kind, be sure to disconnect or desync it after every set. Failure to do so will be grounds for DQ if another match is interrupted.
Entry Fee: No entry fee
Prizes: The prize pool will be made up of a community Matcherino, the full value of which will be finalised leading up to the event.

UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes
Format: 2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games (LF, WF, GF 3/5 Games), Double Elimination
Console: PS4
Rules: Life: Default, Time: Default
Players who lose a game may change their character, and the winning player is character locked until they lose. Blind pick is available for all matches.
Controllers: PS4 compatible controllers, Brook converters are allowed but Cronus converters are prohibited. ‘Turbo’ functions or hardware based macros that give functions not available in the game natively are prohibited. If you use a Dualshock or other wireless controller, you are responsible for removing it after your match is complete, and will be disqualified if you fail to do so and another match is affected.
Entry Fee: $5 per player

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Format: First to 3, Double Elimination, 99 Seconds
Console: PS4
Rules: Players who lose a game may change their characters, and the winning player is character locked until they lose. Both players are free to change their selection of assists within the team each game. Blind pick is available for all matches. Bonne Wonderland stage only.
Controllers: All wired and wireless controllers are allowed (with or without converters). No illegal controller modifications (those that provide external advantages not allowed by the game itself) are permitted.
Entry Fee: $5

Virtua Fighter 5: REVO
Format: 3/5 Rounds, Double Elimination
Console: PS4
Rules: Players who lose a game may change their character, and the winning player is character locked until they lose. Blind pick is available for all matches.
Controllers:

Vampire Savior
Format: 3/5 Games, Double Elimination
Console: Playstation 3
Rules: Speed set to Turbo 3. Fetus of God stage is banned. Iron Horse, Iron Terror stage is allowed. Usage of Auto Guard is banned. Shadow is banned. Oboro Bishamon is banned. Dark Gallon is allowed. Glitches that freeze the game or otherwise make the match unplayable, or glitches that give a character an extended period of invincibility are banned.
Controllers: Bring your own controller. Brooks converters are allowed but Cronus converters are banned.
Entry Fee: $5

Sonic The Fighters
Format: Double Elimination. Best 2 of 3. Finals Best 3 of 5.
Console: PC emulator, PS5 via Lost Judgment / Like a Dragon: The Man Who Erased his Name (LAD Gaiden).
Game Configuration: Timer set to default
Stage Select: Random or player agreement
Entry: $Free
Character Select: May change character on match loss. Winner must stick. Metal Sonic and Dr.Robotnik is banned.
