What Makes a Fighting Game Good?
Featuring CouchWarriors and Ozhadou Community members! 6pm Friday, Gamespot Theatre
CouchWarriors have been called upon once again to host the fighting game section of the Console Tournament area at PaxAus, running through all three days and hosting a wide variety of games to suit any gamer, new or old.
As usual, between tournament sets we are open for learn to play sessions and casual matches. So feel free to take a break between all those panels, cosplaying and indie games to come join in for some competitive fun!
Winners for each tournament will receive a limited edition PAXAus medal!
Cost: Entry to the tournament is free. Entry to the Friday session at PAX Australia required, valued at $65 – Sunday passes will be provided for anyone in the final 8 that doesn’t already have one. Tickets are available here.
BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER There is a BYOC / Sticks policy for the event. We have some available for emergency and our friendly players will often loan a controller, but we ask you to please bring your own!

Also in conjunction we will be using the Tekken tournament as the qualifier for the International Esports Federation Event where the winner gets sent to compete in another qualifier in NSW and the winner of THAT goes to BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA to compete!
In the event that we have enough setups (NOTE: Rivals of Aether will not run if there are not enough sign ups)
10:30am – Doubles signups close 11am – Doubles bracket begins 1pm – Singles Sign ups Close 2pm – Singles Pools Pro Smash 4 Bracket Starts when both waves finish 2:30pm – Rivals of Aether Bracket begins (Sign up at Venue before start time)

Please remember that the Smash 4 ranbat always falls on the third Saturday of the month, and the FGC+Melee Ranbat falls on the second Saturday.
