It’s barely more than a month until the latest and greatest incarnation of Battle Arena Melbourne – #BAM13.
BAM is Australia’s biggest FGC event of the year, so naturally it also needs to show off the biggest range of different fighting games. After all, if you’re gonna find enough people anywhere to fill a bracket for your favourite niche fighter, it’s going to be at BAM!
DreamHack Melbourne has come and gone – and with it, the last ever Street Fighter V LAN for CouchWarriors League. Coming up in just a few weeks is Battle Arena Melbourne, where the new age of Street Fighter 6 will kick off in style!
Of course, #BAM13 is bigger than any one game, even if SF6 is getting a lot of hype. You can check out the hashtag on social media (or the BAM13 tag on couchwarriors.org) to find all the details announced for the major so far. In the meantime, here are the dates and sign-up links for all our May CouchWarriors League events.
More crowd-pleasing announcements were deployed last week to keep the #BAM13 hype train cruising smoothly towards June 9th. For starters, here’s a swag of newly-confirmed games which will receive tournament support at Australia’s biggest FGC event:
If you’re a regular visitor to this site, chances are that you’ve seen this notice posted somewhere:
It’s been a tough stretch for the north-most arm of our FGC since the initial loss of their ranbat venue in March 2022. Over a year has now passed since the last official CWQLD offline event.
But don’t worry, the end is now in sight: the Queensland Ranbat is now set to make a triumphant return before the end of the month!
Things are moving fast in the FGC this month, with the big announcements for #BAM13 starting to land and DreamHack Melbourne coming up just a few weeks away. We’re also well into the swing of weekly and monthly #CWLeague events, meaning there’s a ton of leaderboard points up for grabs across April and beyond…
Here are the dates and sign-up links for all our regular April CouchWarriors League events – both online and offline.
After putting the FGC on notice last month with our official #BAM13 announcement, CouchWarriors have brought more fuel for the hype train with the reveal of much-loved team events, more tournament support for anime fighters, and our boppin’ commemorative shirt design:
Get ready – the road to Oceania’s most celebrated fighting game tournament starts now.

The FGC’s collective holiday hangover is fading away like the summer heat, and it’s time to dive back into the 2023 CouchWarriors League schedule! That schedule now includes The Game Expo Melbourne, which is set to be one of the first non-ranbat offline tournaments of the year.
Here are the dates and sign-up links for that, and all the other March CouchWarriors League events – both online and offline.
CouchWarriors League is officially back for 2023, announcing a new format and points system for the Summer and Winter championship seasons.
The 2023 format emphasizes more local and community events while pivoting the CWL Online schedule from weekly to monthly tournaments. The points awarded at each state’s monthly ranbats have been doubled, making them an even more important battleground for our championship hopefuls.
October’s events were the finish line of our CouchWarriors League points race, and with how fierce the competition has been this year that meant a ton more pressure on any leaderboard hopefuls.
CouchWarriors Crossup still looms as the season finale. But the points championship for each game is still a big prize – and for players who can’t travel to that event in person, the biggest one. With one more chance at the 2022 crown, who among them would muster the strength to seize it?
