BAM15 COSPLAY COMPETITION With Guest Judges & Sugoi Co Prizes

We are super excited to announce that BAM15 will have an official cosplay competition! Be sure to show up in your best fighting game cosplays for a chance to win some incredible prizes from our partners, and to share your love of fighting game characters and cosplay with the BAM audience!
As Australia’s biggest fighting game festival we encourage as many attendees to turn up in fighting game costumes as possible!

EVERY ENTRANT up to first 30 entries: Free Anime Tshirt from Sugoi Co. Provided onsite by Sugoi Co rep at Registration area.
Photography: On the floor of BAM, we will have a photo wall and photographer onsite, so there’ll be great shots to come from the event. We also welcome photographers to join the event!
Cosplay Changerooms: There will be a dedicated space off-floor for Cosplayers to change.

Bio: Hi! I’m Emily, and I’m a cosplayer and content creator. I’m a self taught costumer who enjoys making cosplays whether it comes to sewing, 3d printing or anything inbetween! I’ve been proud to represent a range of conventions and companies over the past years including Twitch and Wizards of the Coast. I’m super enthusiastic about (and have cosplayed from!) a wide range of live play TTRPGs, musical theatre and video games.

RULES
- You must purchase a BAM spectator pass to compete.
- Please register for the cosplay competition at the registration desk at the entrance
- Your costume must be a character that has appeared in a fighting game.
- Handmade and bought costumes are both acceptable, however handmade costumes will be rated higher in judging.
- Any costumes you have worn that have won awards at any prior competitions will not be eligible for prizes.
- Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times.
- Cosplayers with large costume pieces such as props, wings or utilising stilts may be asked to move away from crowded areas or restricted from certain areas.
- Effects such as Smoke, Bubbles, etc, are not to be used inside the venue.
- Do not use flashing lights, etc, around other attendees.
- When you’re on stage – embody the character! Memorise some of your favourite poses of your character and get ready for a small chat on stage.
- We will award based on craftsmanship, overall looks and attitude on stage! We can’t wait to see you share your life of Fighting Game characters on the stage with us, so have fun!!
The following items are not allowed to be brought to BAM:
- Any prop that can fire any type of projectile. If the prop is a bow, it must be unstrung or string with low-tensile thread.
- Any kind of replica firearm or airsoft weapon (including any that have been decommissioned)
- Any prop constructed out of metal such as swords, knives & spears. Any prop that is sharp or pointy enough to cut or pierce with moderate pressure is not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, real swords, daggers, knives, ceramic blades, needles, syringes.
